"Strength in Diversity"
Description:
This immersive installation blends sculpture, painting, and assemblage to create a powerful narrative about community and the interconnectedness of life.
At the heart of the installation is a luminous larger-than-life mural portrait of a “wo-man” composed from a combination of male and female parts with multiple ethnicities for the hands, arms, eyes, hair, lips, and nose. A rainbow bird resting on her chest symbolizes adaptability and the unity of nature and humanity.
Simultaneously a handcrafted “Multiple Tell-A-Visions” sculpture on the right side of the installation has glass distorted digital animations evoking home and modern life.
A collection of framed miniature dioramas hang on the wall, each showcasing intricate, small-scale worlds housed in natural wood slices. These pieces represent the diversity of human experiences and stories, tied together by the unifying theme of existence on our planet.
Incorporating organic elements like trees and natural textures with industrial materials and vibrant imagery, the installation prompts reflection on the coexistence of tradition, innovation, and the shared strength found in diversity.
